If there's one thing I always like, it's an organization hack that makes my life easier. I can't tell you how many times I end up throwing away refrigerated food items because the kids just shove stuff in front of things, and they get forgotten about or lost in the back of the fridge. Emma Villaneda of The Crafted Studio Co. decided that organizing her refrigerator was needed before the craziness of the holidays started. She headed to Dollar Tree to pick up some organization bins and baskets, and in no time at all, her fridge was in proper order!

She included everything that she used in her "Shopping List" in her caption. For less than $20, she was able to reorganize her fridge and free up a lot of space. Watch as she does it, and then you'll probably want to make a trip to Dollar Tree so you can do the same...I know it's on my to-do list this week!

These are simple solutions to clean up a messy fridge, and I'm heading to Dollar Tree to pick these all up! @Emma's fans loved these ideas. @Trish M shared, "These are great tips. Bathroom organizer for condiments!" @Delightful Candles added, "Looks great!" to which Emma replied, "It wasn’t a drastic difference buts it’s clean and I know what we have so that’s all that counts right?!" @Bella Tove jumped in and said, "It IS drastic when we’re looking at our own fridge! LOL! Love me an organized fridge!" I feel the same way - there's something so relaxing about opening the doors to find everything in its place!

Tips for Organizing Your Fridge

If you're like me and now ready to clean out the fridge, there are some tips that can help. It doesn't take long to complete the chore, and you'll feel better after it's done. Start by taking everything out and cleaning all of the shelves and drawers. I usually do this one shelf at a time simply because it's easier than trying to find counter space for it all if you take it out all at once.

Next, decide how you want to organize the items. Put like with like, and if you have things you use every day, put those near the front of the fridge. Also, if you have leftovers or items with expiration dates, keep those up front too so you can use them (and so they don't get pushed to the back and forgotten about). Take items out of packages to save space, and so that you can see how much you have left. You can use a Lazy Susan to easily see items instead of putting items in rows.

Using bins and organization products really helps, so it's worth investing in them, especially if you can find them at Dollar Tree. It's also a good idea to use liners in drawers. I actually just use paper towels so if there are any spills or crumbs, I can just throw them away and replace them instead of trying to clean liners.

Use the door for condiments and other non-perishable items. If you have a lot of canned beverages in your fridge, use a drink dispenser to save space. You can use any or all of these tips to get the job done, and once you get your fridge organized, it's much easier to keep it that way!
